This study analyzes how the 2022 ACC/AHA/HFSA guidelines have redefined heart failure stages. The updated criteria resulted in a substantial shift of individuals from Stage A to Stage B, predominantly due to the inclusion of new biomarker thresholds. The results validate that those newly classified as Stage B remain at high risk for progression, affirming the precision of the new definitions.
